New Brunswick has issued 373 immigration invitations in multiple selection rounds conducted between April 30 and May 3, 2026, under the New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program (NBPNP) and the Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP).

The latest draws targeted healthcare professionals, skilled workers, francophone candidates, transportation employees, manufacturing workers and construction trades applicants.

The invitations were distributed across:

  • New Brunswick Skilled Worker Stream
  • New Brunswick Strategic Initiative Stream
  • New Brunswick Express Entry Stream
  • Atlantic Immigration Program

Skilled Worker Draws Dominated the Latest Selection Rounds

The largest number of invitations were issued through the New Brunswick Skilled Worker Stream.

A total of 200 candidates received invitations under:

  • New Brunswick Experience pathway
  • New Brunswick Graduates pathway

On May 1, the province invited 87 healthcare candidates, while a second draw on May 3 issued 113 invitations across all occupational sectors.

This was the final all-sector draw before New Brunswick introduced occupational restrictions under the Experience pathway.

From May 4 onward, only candidates working in healthcare, education and construction trades are eligible for invitations under this pathway until further notice.

The province explained that the decision was necessary due to limited nomination spaces available for 2026.

Strategic Initiative Stream Focuses on Francophone Immigration

New Brunswick invited another 106 candidates through the Strategic Initiative Stream, specifically targeting French-speaking immigrants.

The stream supports the province’s efforts to increase francophone immigration and strengthen bilingual communities across Atlantic Canada.

Express Entry Stream Provides Major CRS Advantage

The province also issued 17 invitations through the New Brunswick Express Entry Stream.

Candidates nominated through this stream receive an additional 600 CRS points under Canada’s Express Entry system, greatly improving their chances of obtaining Canadian permanent residence.

Applicants generally must have:

  • An active Express Entry profile
  • At least 12 months of residence in New Brunswick
  • Skilled employment with a provincial employer
  • Eligible work experience

Atlantic Immigration Program Issued 50 Invitations

Through the Atlantic Immigration Program, New Brunswick invited 50 candidates working in transportation, manufacturing and construction trades occupations.

The employer-driven program allows Atlantic Canadian employers to recruit international workers to fill labour shortages.

Eligible candidates must secure a job offer from a designated employer and obtain provincial endorsement before applying for permanent residence.

Canada Continues Expanding Provincial Immigration Pathways

The latest immigration draws show that Canada’s Atlantic provinces continue relying on provincial nominee programs and employer-driven immigration pathways to attract skilled international talent.

Healthcare, construction, education, transportation and francophone immigration remain top priorities for New Brunswick’s economic and population growth strategy in 2026.
