Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program invited 906 provincial nominee candidates in its largest draw of 2026 on May 7.
The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) focused this selection round on education workers and candidates selected through strategic recruitment pathways.
Invitations were issued under the Skilled Worker Stream, covering both in-province and overseas applicants.
Draw highlights
The province divided invitations between two major selection streams:
- 475 invitations through strategic recruitment initiatives
- 431 invitations for candidates working in education occupations
Additionally, 326 invited candidates had active Express Entry profiles.
Temporary Public Policy candidates heavily targeted
Most strategic recruitment invitations went to candidates holding work permits issued through Manitoba’s Temporary Public Policy (TPP).

Education sector occupations selected
Occupation-specific invitations were issued to workers employed in:
- Early childhood education
- Teacher assistant roles
- Elementary school teaching
- Secondary school teaching
Candidates needed to demonstrate active employment in Manitoba and meet all eligibility criteria under the Skilled Worker in Manitoba pathway.
Manitoba continues active immigration selections
Manitoba has already conducted nine draws in 2026 and continues to use targeted recruitment strategies to address labour shortages across the province.
The province currently has a nomination allocation of 6,239 spots for 2026 and has issued hundreds of nominations during the first quarter of the year.
